We’re looking for an expert networker who wants to be an external face of our community, find great people to attend our summits, and foster relationships with the top founders and investors in tech.
Newcomer hosts the most elite founder-investor gatherings in San Francisco like the Cerebral Valley AI Summit, Breaking the Bank, and Deus Ex Medicina.
These exclusive, invite-only gatherings draw well-known startup CEOs, top partners at major venture firms, and reporters from leading outlets. They’re intentionally intimate—100–400 people. We’re hosting four similar summits in 2025, plus dinners and smaller meet-ups, and plan to expand further in 2026.
The Head of Community will support our editorial and business teams with summit planning and strategy, invitations and audience curation, new programs for newsletter subscribers, and more.
At the summits themselves, you’ll be part of the team that makes everything go. The details and feel need to be right. It’s difficult to balance authenticity and polish, so sharp instincts are key.
What You’ll Do
- Fill Our Summits With Top-Tier Attendees: Ask the best investors which founders should attend, identify founders that would add to the room, invite people to attend, and leverage our attendee list to continue to grow our network.
- Manage Guest Communication: Coordinate RSVPs and attendee details—sending invites, responding to inquiries, and making sure everyone has the info they need before, during, and after the summit.
- Facilitate Speaking Opportunities and VIP Attendee Communication: Communicate with speakers and their PR teams or executive offices about logistics, and ensure that speakers, discussion leaders, and other VIPs get everything they need for a successful appearance at our summits.
- Be On-Site Support: You’ll travel to our summits to assist with setup and serve as the show-runner during the summit itself (handling speakers and their teams, bringing them on-stage, and directing parts of the production).
- Drive Newcomer’s Networking Initiatives: You’ll help our content and business teams network effectively by curating dinners and other gatherings of people in our network plus others we’d like to get to know.
- Support the Summit Planning Team: You’ll be a resource to our Business Lead and event planning team, making decisions about how our summits will look, feel, and function.
- Lead New Subscriber Programs: Help the newsletter reach a target list of potential subscribers by creating a program for top investors to engage with the newsletter and our summits
